As I discover new things, my inquisitive mind seeks answers to a number of questions. What is it? How old? Fossil or Relic....? Is it worth anything? Human created? How historic or unique? Should it be shared?  

For the most part, I go to the Internet (search for pictures, post to specialist websites...) the National Archives Website as well as the Library of Congress Website.

 I also have purchase books on fossils, unique/rare coins, as well as Rock & Gem identification books. Doubt I'll ever purchase on-line ID tools (takes a pic....). Too obtrusive in my opinion,
